1. Yellow Alert for passing showers/t-storms

We have issued a Yellow Alert Wednesday for passing showers and thunderstorms. The storms will not have the severity of Tuesday's weather. It will not be as hot, with highs near 90 as opposed to our 96 Tuesday. FORECAST

2. Thousands without power in mid-Atlantic area

Utility crews are working to restore power to thousands of customers in the mid-Atlantic region after strong storms moved through the area Tuesday night. OUTAGES

3. Former PG County executive Wayne Curry to lie in state

The body of former Prince George's County Executive Wayne Curry will lie in state at the Prince George's County Administration Building from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Curry died last week at age 63 after a battle with lung cancer. MORE

4. Child killed, 8 injured after tree falls at Md. camp

One child was killed and eight more were injured at their summer camp after trees collapsed at a Carroll County camp Tuesday night. It happened at River Valley Ranch during severe weather. MORE

5. World Cup: Argentina and Netherlands face off in semifinals
