WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Here are five things you need to know on Friday, March 7.

5. There is a Winter Weather Advisory for the Metro Area until 2 p.m. Prepare for a light wintry mix Friday morning south of D.C. Some light snow is possible by dawn Friday but the main concerns will be sleet and freezing drizzle through the morning commute.

4. An Amber Alert has been issued for an 11-year-old girl who is missing after her mother was found dead at a Baltimore County home. Caitlyn Virts, who is believed to be with her father, 38-year-old Timothy Virts, is described as white, 5 feet tall, weighing 80 pounds and may be wearing glasses. They may be in a 1999 black Dodge Durango with Maryland plates 5AJ4458.

3. The Washington Post reports D.C. businessman Jeffrey Thompson is close to reaching a plea agreement with federal prosecutors. Back in January, our Bruce Johnson was first to report that prosecutors were prepared to indict Thompson. He's considered to be the architect of Mayor Vincent Gray's 2010 illegal shadow campaign.

2. An online lottery to win tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll opens Friday and the deadline fore entries is Monday, March 10. Signing up for the lottery is free of charge and tickets for winners are free of charge. The 2014 White House Easter Egg Roll is Monday, April 21st.
