4 swimmers rescued from Potomac River

CARDEROCK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Four swimmers were rescued from the Potomac River near Carderock Monday afternoon.

Police say they received a report of several swimmers in the water. The U.S. Park Police Eagle helicopter located the swimmers.

Two victims, a male and female, were rescued from the rocks by Fairfax County Swift Water Rescue crews. Shortly after, two more victims were rescued on the Maryland shoreline rocks.

Police say there were no injuries. U.S. Park Police are at Old Anglers's Boat ramp with the swimmers.
