23-year-old arrested for drunkenly driving car into Va. home

MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police in Prince William County have arrested a 23-year-old who they say drunkenly crashed his car into a single family home in Manassas Sunday morning.

Eberado Castillo, of the 7900 block of Community Drive in Manassas, is charged with two counts of driving under the influence (DUI) maiming, two counts of felony hit and run, and misdemeanor DUI, police say.

Around 5:15 a.m. Sunday, Manassas City police were called to the 9200 block of Bayberry Avenue, where upon arrival they discovered a Dodge Challenger had been driver into the front of a residence and came to rest entirely in the home's lower level.

Police say Castillo fled the scene on foot after crashing the vehicle. He was located a short distance away and placed under arrest.

Multiple occupants of the home suffered non-life threatening injuries. The home has been deemed unfit for occupancy, and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
