2 teens arrested for gang related violence

MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police arrested two teenagers who were involved in a fight that resulted into a stabbing Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the fight happened at the Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd. in Manassas.

The 17-year-old victim was standing outside of the mall near the court entrance when he a group of teenagers went up to him and said they were part of the MS13 gang according to police.

Police said the victim was assaulted and slashed several times with pocket knives. The group left before the police arrived at the mall.

The victim was taken to the hospital and has no serious injuries. According to police, the victim knows some of the suspects.

Detectives from the gang unit have found two of the suspects involved. Police said a 17-year-old, and a 16-year-old teenage boy were arrested. They have been arrested for malicious wounding, assault and battery and gang participation.

Police are still looking for a 16-year-old boy from Manassas who was also involved in the incident.
