2 taken to hospital after shooting in DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Two people have been taken to the hospital after a shooting incident in DC on Friday night.

The shooting took place around 8:47 p.m. at the intersection of 5th and Q Streets N.W. Police found two adult males who had been shot. They were both conscious and breathing when they were taken to the hospital, police said.

One of the victims is a priority one patient and has been taken to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Police have a suspect who they describe as a tall thin black male in his 20's. He was seen wearing a white shirt and black pants, police said.
