VIRGINIA (WUSA) -- Virginia residents will be able to save a little money on certain energy-efficient products they purchase.
For four days, beginning October 9th through October 12th, shoppers who purchase energy-efficient products will not have to pay sales tax on them.
Items costing $2,500 or less are exempted during the tax-free holiday.
But those compact fluorescent light bulbs, ceiling fans, washing machines, air conditioners, programmable thermostats, toilets and faucets must be certified by EnergyStar or WaterSense.
And EnergyStar appliances are just one of the things you'll be able to learn more about at this year's D.C. Green Festival.
Topper Shutt, Howard Bernstein and Kim Martucci will all be there next weekend at the D-C Convention Center.
