WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Rodent droppings, improper sink cleaning facilities, and no certified food protection manager on duty are just a few health hazards leading to closures at area restaurants in this week's Restaurant Alert.
DC health inspectors temporarily closed Heritage India, 1901 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW; Chipotle, 413 8th Street, SE; and the Department of Commerce, 6th Floor Snack Bar, 1401 Constitution Avenue, NW.
All passed re-inspection and are back in business.

At Heritage India at 1901 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, a May 28th report identifies 19 violations including "Rat droppings on the floor and shelves. Mice droppings on plates, canned foods, and linens. Dead roaches in food and broken equipment."
Just a few weeks prior, The Restaurant Alert app shows an April 3rd closure with 14 violations including "dead rodent cited on trap."
