This is an unusual closure with a domino effect closing seven businesses due to one massive sewage back-up.

Montgomery County Health Inspectors ordered the seven businesses closed along Georgia Avenue to due to "sewage coming out of the manhole covers…" and "…flowing onto the street."

At Irene's Pupusa, inspectors found "...sewage back up overflowing from the floor drains throughout..." and closed it for "...unsanitary conditions."

At the other locations, inspectors found "no visible backup within the restaurant" but, still ordered Szechuan Palace, Yett Gol, Subway, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, and International Market "...closed to limit water use..." and "...sewage outflow."

While there, investigators checked into a customer complaint at Szechuan Palace alleging a " mouse running and roach crawling in the dining area."

Inspectors documented "...several mice droppings observed on prep tables....on shelves…" and "…on floors…" The inspector also noted "repeated complaints and inspections have revealed the consistent and ongoing vermin infestation."

Inspectors issued a failed inspection at Szechuan Palace and ordered management to meet with the health department.
