UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County health officials are recommending that residents bat-proof their homes after a number of rabid bats have been found.
Since Aug. 1, nine bats have tests positive for rabies. Health officials say one person who came in contact with one has been treated preemptively for rabies.
Residents are urged to fix holes in houses, use window screens and close doors tightly.
