WHEATON, Md. (WUSA) -- Bally Total Fitness is now offering a new class that combines martial arts with cardio and strength training. Fitness Trainer Ismail Oseni created the class, and he says that you don't have to plan to be in a fight to take his class.
Ismail says, "It's doesn't have to be defensive kind of thing, doing kick-boxing."
Oseni starts the class with jogging, jabs and quick kicks before moving on to exercises that build muscle endurance. He mixes martial arts techniques with jumping jacks and lots of push-ups.
Kickboxing will keep you moving, and Oseni says you can burn over 1000 calories in each class. Bally also offers one-on-one classes for those who are interested in learning more about the art of kickboxing.
