Washington, DC (WUSA) --- The style mavens at the PR at Partners Hair Salon in Tenleytown say besides delivering the most updated "do" each season, they try to educate their clients about a bit of hair care too.

Leah Lee, manager and stylist at PR Partners Tenleytown says, "They're coming in and they're asking for something sleek, chic and very trendy." Lee explains when the seasons change the stylists at the salon find themselves repairing hair a bit more than just styling.

We checked in with a few of the ladies from PR Partners and here are some of their fall hair rejuvenation tips and some sleek hair blow drying tips too:

Stylist Mary Beth Wood's tips for taming split ends and dealing with color:

-Split End, Split Ends are one of the biggest challenges during the fall. Invest in a moisturizing shampoo because when there's a switch to colder weather and we turn the heat on inside, there will be much more friziness and breakage, but moisture will prevent this.

-Permanent Highlights. If you want to take your blonder highlights to more neutral tones, or just to soften bleached out sun blonde hair, go with a semi-permanent color that won't be as damaging and drastic to hair.

Stylist Alicia Brammer's (Lisa) tips for naturally curly hair and those who love the blow dryer:

-Longer hair, especially for women with naturally curly hair. The key for women who tend to start blow drying hair straight during the colder days is to focus on rebuilding and strengthening the hair by adding oils and protein. For example, request to have a hot oil treatment once a month or a good protein treatment to repair the structure of your hair.

-Fall equals conditioner. Summer you can get away with not using conditioner some times, but fall it's very important to use a deep conditioner.

-Use a light hair serum so you can maintain the bounce.

Lisa Lee's quick solutions for cleaning up summer hair:

-Hair grows faster in the summer and people tend to skip hair cuts, so don't afraid to cut a good amount off, to gain a good start each year.

-Before blow drying use a derfrizz solution with a silicone base.

-Quick solutions if you don't want to go drastic quite yet: trim split ends, shape up layers especially and INVEST IN A GOOD FLAT IRON

-It's not necessarily what brand or how much you spend, it's knowing what hair products work best on your hair.
