Not very many people can say they've scored a mention in a Jay-Z rap verse, but Tomi Lahren can.
Known for her signature blonde hair and controversial comments, Lahren is a conservative political commentator for TheBlaze, a media firm founded by former Fox News star Glenn Beck.
The 24-year-old is the host of her own show on The Blaze, but is best known for her three minute online segment, 'Final Thoughts', where she fires off on American politics and current events.
Lahren is a provocateur, who first made noise after ripping into President Barack Obama following the Chattanooga, Tennessee, terrorist attack that killed four U.S. Marines and one Navy sailor. She's known for speaking out against Black Lives Matter. She caused a media frenzy after slamming Beyonce's 2016 Superbowl performance, even prompting the pop star's rapper husband, Jay Z, to react to her words in the song, "Drug Dealers Anonymous."
Lahren has also harshly criticized San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick's decision to kneel during the national anthem
The rising media host recently made an appearance on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah, where they revisited her usual topics of Donald Trump, Black Lives Matter and the 49er quarterback. The interview, where Lahren made the statement “I don't see color,” went viral with viewers both bashing and praising her.
The Daily Show host pointed out Lahren's controversial Colin Kaepernick video has racked up 66 million views, which is more than the sum of all the viewers of CNN, ABC, CBS, Fox News, MSNBC and NBC, plus the readership of The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
Lahren has made a name for herself on social media, particularly on Facebook, gathering a mass following of people who love her and hate her alike. The host's Facebook videos on average get more views than president-elect Donald Trump's Facebook videos, who she supports.
Here are 5 (more) things to know about the conservative host.
1. Lahren is a South Dakota native. She recently posted a video of her thoughts on the North Dakota Standing Rock protests where as expected, she voiced criticism over the protest movement.
2. She's an only child.
3. She attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas where she majored in journalism and got her minor in political science.
4. After graduating college, Lahren applied for an internship at One America News Network, a conservative TV station. The CEO responded by offering her an interview for a job. She landed her own show on the network at 21 years old.
5. According to Dallasnews.com, The Blaze reportedly gives her a $40,000 clothing allowance.
Hero or villain, Tomi Lahren is a dominating digital force.
Her recent recruitment into the Trump campaign means there's likely much more to come.
