WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect of a purse snatch robbery in Northwest. 

The incident took place on Sunday on the 1400 block of T Street. The suspect is seen in the surveillance video walking behind a woman and snatching her purse before taking off. 

Police describe the suspect as being 5'9" to 5'10" in height, 19 to 20 years old, with a stocky build. He was last scene wearing a navy blue pea coat and ripped denim jeans, police said.
