WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Police in D.C. say thy have arrested an 18-year-old for a shooting in Southeast from December.

On Tuesday, police say they arrested 18-year-old Javon Hale of Southeast, DC in relation to the shooting of a man in the 1000 block of 14th Street SE on December 26, 2012. The man was shot that afternoon and taken to a local hospital.

On Tuesday, Hale was charged with assault with intent to kill while armed.
