WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Two Georgetown University students were assaulted when their home was burglarized early Saturday morning, the Department of Public Safety said.
Officials say a DPS public safety sent an alert email at 9:45 a.m. notifying the campus community of the burglary at the 3500 block of O Street. In the email, officials said the two students noticed an intruder in their home at about 3:45 a.m. The intruder struck both students and then fled towards the campus. Both students sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'10", about 21 years of age, weighing 160 pounds and has brown hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt and blue jeans.
DC police are conducting an investigation.
