WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- TSA officers confiscated a loaded gun from a passenger at the security checkpoint at Reagan Washington National Airport.
On Friday, TSA detected the 9mm semi-automatic handgun, ammunition and magazine in a man's carry-on bag as it passed through the x-ray machine. Airport officials contact the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police who cited the man with a state weapons charge and confiscated the gun, he did not have a concealed weapons permit.
The passenger was allowed to continue on his flight to Dallas without his weapon.
