WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) -- Mayor Vincent Gray continues to say he is keeping up his schedule and official business in the District of Columbia.

But the first order of business Friday morning was appearing on a news talk show to answer questions about his 2010 campaign which is the focus of a federal investigation.

On NewsChannel 8, he said, "I've been asked about fundraiser aspects of my campaign. I've talked about the fact that I did, you know, as any candidate does, in an effort to get people to support my campaign. When checks were given to me, I was very clear and open about what happen to those checks. I turned them into the campaign office and they were recorded by the folks who were developing the campaign finance reports."

Three people who worked on his campaign have pleaded guilty in connection with more than $600 thousand of undocumented funds to help get Gray elected.

Three council members have asked for his resignation. The U.S. Attorney's offices says the case is very much active.
