DC mayor on new Redskins coach: I can only be hopeful

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- We caught up with D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray on Capitol Hill on Thursday to see what he thought about the Washington Redskins hiring Jay Gruden as head coach.

Gray told us, "I really don't know a lot about him. I guess we know a lot about, I guess, it's his brother? Jon Gruden did a great job as a coach and now he's a commentator. All we can do is hope that he moves this team forward. We had a really dismal season. We were 3 in 13 this past season and finished with eight straight losses so as a fan, and someone who obviously has an important role to play in the city I can only be hopeful...we'll see."
