Concrete workers protest stagnant wages in DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A group of local construction workers expressed their dissatisfaction creatively Wednesday morning with a giant rat.

The group's representative tells us the Baker DC company hasn't raised their wages, and that the $13 an hour they earn has put them behind the cost-of-living for the D.C. area.

The protesters held signs and put out an inflatable rat in front of a Northwest apartment building site to draw attention to their demand for a $2 an hour wage hike.
