It had been quiet out of Oklahoma in recent weeks. In fact it has been exactly a month since we brought you the latest update over the videotaped confrontation between a trooper and a paramedic.

That has now changed following yesterday's filing of a federal lawsuit against Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Daniel Martin by Creek Nation Paramedic Maurice White Jr.

Here are excerpts from an article by Ron Jackson at NewsOK.com:

Maurice White, Jr. claims his civil rights were violated by trooper Daniel Martin, whose actions remain under review by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Martin, 37, stopped White's ambulance on U.S. 62. He said the driver, Paul Franks, made an obscene gesture when the trooper tried to pass with his lights and sirens on.

The lawsuit alleges, "Martin had no right or reason to arrest Mr. White who was discharging his fiduciary obligation to his patient, who had committed no crime and who had offered to submit to arrest at the hospital."

The lawsuit further claims, "Martin used unreasonable force in his seizing of Mr. White" by "throttling him by the neck with his hand." The court document also describes Martin's actions as "deliberate, reckless, wanton and/or cruel ..."

"Based on my understanding of federal civil law, Mr. White does not have a valid claim," said Gary James, Martin's attorney. "But I'm ready and willing to begin deposing Mr. White to see about his past."

White is seeking in excess of $10,000 for both compensatory and punitive damages.

"Mr. White does not think the state will take responsibility for the actions of trooper Martin, and will thus take matters into his own hands," said Richard O'Carroll, White's attorney. "Mr. White therefore asked that we conduct an aggressive discovery into the past behavior of trooper Martin ... and find out how he ended up an employee of the state.

"We've waited long enough."

Comments:
Still no news on any disciplinary action for Trooper Martin then, I take it?

," said Gary James, Martin's attorney. "But I'm ready and willing to begin deposing Mr. White to see about his past."

This ought to be good tv. Lawyer is obviously not interested in truth or justice, just discrediting Mr White. Typical. It doesnt matter about Mr Whites past, the question is how a person with a Napolian complex got into the State Patrol..and has he done this before with out the patrol taking action. OSP has missed the boat on this. They were laying low hoping it would blow over...not a chance.

C'mon people....can't we plainly see from the COMPLETE dash-cam video that mistakes were made on both sides of this? As I stated before, both sides and their respective supervisors need to sit down and hash this out. ENOUGH already.

one wonders if the specific choke hold used by the Trooper was taught at the rookie academy?

Watching the videos, one can see that the ambulance could not immediately pull completely off the highway because a car in front of the ambulance had slowed in front of the ambulance- I have had that happen many times when driving my ambulance- oddly, more often when I did not have lights and siren activated- only my headlights on.

It appears the trooper's car approached the rear of the ambulance at a high rate of closure allowing the driver little time to react, especially with patient care going on in the back of the ambulance.

Was there a policy that "civilians" (the trooper's wife alleged to also be in the police car) that prohibits emergency responses while such civilians are in the vehicle (liability issues?)

Even if the "gesture" claimed by the trooper was real, most uniformed personnel are trained to "shrug off" such actions as "part of the job" and not overreact!

Who overreacted here? Cause and effect seems to be at play here.

With the trooper still on "leave", there appears to be some hesitation on the behalf of officials to come to a final determination of this issue.

so the ambo drivers past allow the cop to assault him???

Did that lawyer used to work for Maurey Povich? Let`s look into troop`s past? Hmmm.....That troop is lucky Paramedic White didn`t lay him out right there. He showed unbelievable restraint, in the same situation, I`m not sure I could.

The old local joke here with LEOs.....write me and I`ll remember it the next time you lay on the ground shot....(yes it`s sick, but it`s the joke both sides here laugh at LEO`s & EMS )

As I stated before, Mr White, I`d partner with you any day.

Mr. White I would gladly ride with you anyday. Trooper Martin...I hope I never have the displeasure of ever meeting you. You are a disgrace to the human race. I hope you get everything you deserve....like be put in the jail with all the other citizens you treated this way. You will then begin to recieve what you deserve!!!

I UNDERSTAND MR. WHITE'S POINT, BUT I WONDER GIVEN THE ALREADY TENSE SITUATION, IF HE HAD LISTENED TO THE TROOPER TO BEGIN WITH NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE EVER TAKEN PLACE. MR WHITE NEEDED TO BE BUMPED DOWN A PEG OR TWO.

Thank goodness for video cameras or else this would just be another case of a white cop abusing his authority when it involves a black man. I am white in case you were wondering. I am a Registered Nurse and would never lift a finger to help Trooper Martin. He is a disgrace to the uniform. I wonder what shortcomings he is overcompensating for with the abuse of his authority. He should be fired and charged with the assault of Mr. White. Trooper Martin gives the other fine officers a bad name and makes their job harder (especially with minorities). He owes Mr. White an apology and compensation. Nothing less would be just. I wonder how Mr. White would have made out had he grabbed the trooper by the throat. My guess is that Mr. White would still be dead and it would have been ruled justified. Please give this opinion the consideration you deem appropriate under the circumstances. Bo Walle

THIS IS A DISGRACE TO THE ENTIRE WORLD. WHO CAN U TRUST. I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING THAT CAUSED THE TROOPER TO RESPOND TO SUCH ACTION. HE APPEARS TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HELPING AND CARING FOR CITZENS THE PATIENT COULDVE DIED. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR HIS ACTIONS. HE MAKES IT MUCH HARDER FOR OTHER TROOPERS AND RESPECT. IF YOU CAN'T FEEL SAFE AND SECURED BY THE OFFICERS THAT SUPPOSE TO PROTECT US WHO CAN WE TRUST. HE DESERVES HIS PUNISHMENT IF NOT GOD WILL DEAL WITH HIM. THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR IF NOTHING IS DONE WE NEED TO INVESTIGATE HIS BOSS.

Having been on the streets of Detroit for 23.5 yrs as a EMT for the Detroit Fire Dept. I have never witnessed such blatant disregard of respect between professionals. Being a Black Man I'm not feeling that choke hold....Paramedic White did well to restrain himself or he would have been shot by these "Bugtussle" Troopers.

I work EMS and I am a D.O.D. Master Driver. The "COP" did "run up on" the ambulance at a high rate of speed. The "COP" should have used his radios to check id a patient was on-board before pulling the ambulance over. I can go on for ever about how the "COP" is in the wrong in this case.

It looks like from the video Martin had his thumb dug into White's trachea and was using quite a bit of force by pushing his palm and fingers towards the vehicle to gain more control thus more pressure against the trachea.

If you don't think this is painful just take your thumb and barely push on the side of your trachea then look at the amount of force the officer was using.

That is a killing move in some military and martial training, not only can it kill, it can be used to control a larger person but if misused can cause death by suffocation from collapsing the trachea or permanent damage to the trachea by excessive force. It shouldn't have even came down to anyone having to use force. Period.

Martin should have taken care of business AT the hospital after the patient was safely delivered in a calm professional manner. The EMT offered the most obvious, responsible solution, if Martin had of listened he wouldn't be getting his name smeared all over the media.

Actually this shouldn't have even been an issue to begin with, both officers and EMS personnel have stressful jobs, I'm thankful for both, it's too bad things get to this point...why push your problems onto someone else?

It's clear that after watching this video. The trooper had no cause to stop this ambulance. Regardless of Mr. Whites back ground this doesn't justify trooper Martin's actions. Without regard for the patient on the ambulance he reacted. Had it been a life or death situation for that patient he'd be responsible. And if Mr White had defended hmself and, was shot in the process. Trooper Martin would be responsible for both deaths. "Hypothetically speaking!" A choke hold is more than a threatening situation. A normal reaction is to defend oneself in a situation as such. To our knowledge trooper Martin's wife or girlfriend was in his patrol car. Maybe he wanted to impress her, or something, there by abusing his authority. To overlook this would be an understatement of what the justice system is about. For a lawyer to step in and and try to justify trooper Martin's action its insane. Its insane that he thinks he can step in, and dismiss the troopers behavior because of Mr Whites background. The OSP justice system as a whole has indeed failed if they believe this will just go away.

As a former police officer I find this so embarrassing. Some one missed a lot of training and should have been screened out of the program.

I am a paramedic in Oklahoma....

State law here states that anytime there is a patient on board or on scene the Paramedic has complete control of the scene this includes LEO's for the greater care of the patients.

I have exercised this privilege of the EMT-P's many times... NEVER have I had a Trooper react like this or even be upset, as we are all professionals doing our own distinct jobs....

As for the Trooper he was way out of line and did this in total disregard of the state law....

If it this was my Ambulance I would have not pulled over until I reached the hospital, But then again this Trooper with obvious anger issues probably would have tried to pit the ambulance....

As for all Trooper in this state there are good ones and bad ones.... just like an any other profession....

But to be fair LEO are not trained anymore to respect the people they are supposed to be protecting....

I know LEO that have 35+ years working in law enforcement and they have never pulled their guns....

It is not that people are any more violent or worse today then they we a hundred years ago.... Law enforcement are not trained to talk or defuse situations anymore they are trained to violently take control of a situation no matter what, the people being controlled by the police officers are expected to shut-up and take the verbal abuse and not say a word... If you do they will pepper spray you, or now they will tasser you.... It is sad, that law enforcement officers are not respected at all by your average citizens, they use the same hard line approach as say the SS of Hitler or the Gestapo...

They some how assume they are above the law.... and they forget that they are bound by the same constitution that binds us all...

Please do not think I am anti- LEO in any way but I blame this on poor training and poor recruitment techniques...

I contacted the Oklahoma highway Patrol today. The Governor of Oklahoma appointed Commission Ken Ward who appointed Ben Guilliot (Chief). Ben Guilliot gave Trooper Martin 5 days off with pay (we call that a vacation where I'm from) and now he's back at work...business as usual.

Not only should Trooper Martin be fired, but his immediately supervisor should be fired as well.

We should all get together and send money to the Governors opponent in the next election if he allows the Chief to reward Trooper Martin by his inaction.

Well said, Law enforcement is getting out of control.

Martin is the instigator in this whole confrontation.

Racist cop hires racist lawyer to try in a racist Oklahoma court. Wonderful way to perpetuate the system which never seems to be color blind.

In case anyone wants to see this - new case of an officer tazing a mom in upstate NY.

Wow!!! Another control freak giving a bad rep to the force. Maybe he was just trying to show his civilian passenger what he is capable of doing. If he can do this to anyone on a medical mission. Who knows what he can do to her under any circumstances. I feel sorry for Mr. White for having been used as the demo. It's very disturbing to think that it could have been my own loved ones with life threatening condition inside that ambulance. God Bless you Mr.White, lifesavers like you never run out of good Karma, that's why you survived that day.

Personally, I believe that had the ambulance manager just waited a minute or two to hear what was being said, it would have all been over with and them back down the road. In Arkansas, if an ambulance has a patient in distress, they are required to run lights, and sometimes sirens. Not running the lights and sirens, the trooper probably thought the ambulance was returning to their base. I can see this from both sides. Had the trooper just blown off the "gesture" and stayed at the call he went to back up, nothing else would have come of it all.
Had the ambiulance "manager" not jumped out saying "IM THE BOSS HERE" and let the driver get his well deserved butt chewing for the gesture, the driver would have learned his lesson and that be the end of it.

This trooper needs to have some kind of disciplinary action taken upon him...he was rude and should have his ass kicked...im up for the challange :P

Im a Driver in a large city. Everyday I see Road rage and that is what this is.
Thanks for the forum

Trooper was traveling at a high rate of speed and over driving the siren. You can not say he was NOT driving fast due to the fact that the trees were passing by quickly. The trooper should have waited until they were done transferring their patient at the hospital and then took action.

After the PIG told White he was under arrest, White said fine, lets first take my patient to the hopsital and you can arrest me there, but lets get her to the hospital", What did the ?COP? say, your under arrest NOW or something to the effect. He didn't care about anyone but his baby/childish emotions. AAA with a GUN!, Now I feel really safe with cops like this creep with a license to kill!

WHY WAS THIS TROOPERS WIFE IN THE CAR? Is this even legal?

If this happened in the uk the police officer would not have a leg to stand on, he was acting on his own anger and should have a cool head a laugh off the events. He did not check the state of the patient in the ambulance before his anger is vented at the driver, and is so unprofessional it brings the whole department into shame, in the uk he would lose his job and pension!

I'm a Police Officer from Texas, and Troopers like this give all the officers that strive for good and do good deeds look bad. These videos sicken me, and i feel really embarassed that this ever happened. Someone needs to explain to the attorney of the trooper the concept of "Totality of the Circumstances".

Wow, usually law enforcement has EMS' back. This is really pathetic. Kudos to EMT White for keeping his cool in the face of a Highway Patrolman with a major inferiority complex. I wonder how quickly EMS will respond if that officer ever needs medical assistance. He should be terminated from his employment. What a bush league jerk.

There are several Laws broken here by the OHP Officer...First of all you can not pull somebody over for just doing a gesture to you , second the attitud has to go...actually you should be off the force...third if the original call that you recieved was so severe that you had to go and use your siren and lights, your first priority was to assist on that call....Do your job if you want to be an officer...Public servant!!!
and last but not least...unreasonable use of force..something that it's on your record...
I hope being of the force it will make you realize what you've done not just to yourself but to our department.

It a appears that police /Sheriff units were already on the scene where he was headed. I don't think he needed to go balls to the wall to get there and then pull back out of the scene to go after the Ambulance. As a Law Enforcement officer you are told to protect life then property. I am not sure what the lady in the ambulance was being transported for but it is in my opinion that the trooper made a poor decision conducting a traffic stop on the ambulance placing the female in the ambulance at health risk. If he had a rider with him maybe he was showing off a little. I hope not. The profession of the LEO is honored just as any public service career.
I would never stop an ambulance that was enroute to take a person to the hospital no matter what. I would however follow them to the hospital and talk with the driver about the situation or my concerns.
As for the choke hold.....wow that is so old school and is clear that there is outdated training at the OK state patrol academy. Everyone now uses either a Mark or PPCT to train with. As for the officer being suspended with pay...this is common for the investigation period. Afterward he may very well lose his career because of a poor decision on his part. I just hope that the patient made it to the hospital in time and is ok. NEVER STOP AN AMBULANCE ON THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL!!!!!

WHAT IF THE PATIENT DIES!!!??? Its all about the PATIENT!!!!

i have personally served with trooper martin in the united states military and i can positively tell you he is not a hot head he is a good man with a good head on his shoulders whether or not he was right by putting his hands on the gentlemans neck is questionable but as for a person himself i do not believe he would do this just out of aguish and being short to accuse someone of having napoleon syndrome of this incident is wrong you should know the man before you judge

I JUST HOPE THIS TROOPER NEEDS A EMT ,AND THIS UNIT HAS TO RESPOND TO IT. I WOULD PUT HIS ASS I THE UNIT AN DRIVE AS SLOW AS I COULD. BECAUSE THEY NOW HAVE TO LOOK BEHIND THEM FOR STATE TROOPER RUNING UP THERE ASS.

Trooper had/has an attitude problem & was unconcerned about the citizen. Trooper should have not interfered with the Paramedic doing his job. Trooper & Paramedic have different authority in their own fields & Trooper disrespected the Chain of Command for Paramedic (reason guy got out of the back to check on situation). Trooper should be suspended w/o pay. Excessive use of force was applied. Overstepped his bounds & abused his authority. Interfered with medical transport of a civilian for petty reasons it appears - just wanted to show the guy who's boss. Trooper not fit to serve & protect his community! He's probably one of those guys that tail gates & gets road rage when he's in his POV *personal vehicle* for you civilians

Where I come from Law Enforcement and EMS have a great working relationship. As a matter of fact this situation would never taken place. Now honestly, there were mistakes made on both sides that escalated this situation, however, the biggest mistake made was this Trooper pulling over the ambulance in the first place. If there is an issue between professionals, whether it be between someone from another agency or your own partner, you take that up when there aren't patients or other civilians around. I am a Paramedic and can tell you from experience that driving a police car (we use them as fly cars here) and an ambulance are two totally different worlds, especially when there is a patient in the back. You just cannot lock up your breaks and pull to the side. This could cause serious injury to the technician in the back of the truck. What it appears to me from the video is that the vehicle infront of the ambulance more than likely heard a siren, looked in his mirror and saw the ambulance which inturn caused him to begin to pull over. The driver of the ambulance probably assumed the vehicle was pulling over for the ambulance and went around. We all know how a normal citizen panics when they hear a siren and they do some crazy things. Now that is just speculation but it has happened to me before. Bottom line, regardless of what transpired, who was angry or what gestures were given, this should have been dealt with by some other means and after the patient was safely at the receiving facility. As far as the medic is concerned, when he was told to get back into the ambulance, he should have just complied. I would have been angry as hell, but the first priority is to take care of and protect that patient and you certainly cannot do that if you are standing in the street fighting with a Trooper. I am outraged that a situation like this even happened and let it be known that most Police/Fire/EMS workers do get along very well and very often assist eachother with whatever is needed to get their extremely difficult jobs done. I have had officers assist me in patient care and have had officers ask me to assist them with tasks on their scenes. Bottom line is we are out there for the same purpose...to serve the citizens and protect life and to do that efficiently and effectively we in the services need to work together with a mutual respect for one another!

I'm a police officer in Kentucky and I side with the EMS. As a police officer you have no choice but to get used to people not liking you, shooting you a finger, among many other things. You learn not to pay attention to most of it. 90% of the time I ignore these things so much I barely remember it by the time I get home. If someone in that ambulance had disrespected me to the point that I felt that I had to let the other emergency call go that I was running code to. I would have began to follow the ambulance, I would have had my dispatch call theirs and check for patients and were they were enroute to. If they were on there way to a local hospital I would have followed them there, assisted them in anyway I could in getting the patient the proper car, and then delt with the situation one on one. That trooper, like so many others I know that carry that precious title "Trooper", confuse themselves with a God like figure. Did you here him say that comment about not talking to a trooper that way? My whole career I have been trying to figure out what a trooper can do that I can't. They are really good at yelling at people, they are really good at driving dangerously fast, they are good at writting tickets to people for going 10mph over the limit. But give a trooper a fraud case like I got today and see if he ever locks anyone up. The last 3 or 4 cases I have worked like that are cases that people come to us for help because the state police wouldn't even return their phone calls! I don't know home much more you could expect from many troopers I know. Good Luck with the law suit, $10,000 is not enough.

Is the trooper still working, he needs another line of work,

Couple things, certain Pt conditions contraindicate lights and sirens for transport, so that fact that this unit wasn't running code has nothing to do with the Pt's status. Not sure how they set up their rigs there but if it needed a medic unit and not just BLS chances are it was a legitimate call. Second the officer did run up on the box and there was enough time to react especially with another car in front on the ambulance. Like someone else said quick evasive maneuvers can harm the technician in the back as well as cause further damage to PT. Trooper no right to act the way he did. Medic shouldn't have left his PT but he is ultimately responsible, after he agreed to finish up at hospital that should have been it. Lastly, if trooper need ed to respond to his initial quick enough that it warranted driving and approaching ambulance that fast, he shouldn't have had to leave to follow up for a "hand gesture." I work in EMS and I completely give credit to cops for doing what they do in their extreme crazy cases, but it's these situations that seem to pop up that make you forget about the hard stuff they are viewed as heroes for. Unacceptable

that trooper should not have a job he was rude and over reacted over something so stupid and i hope the emt gets a lot more than what he is asking for in court

Unfortunately, this cop shows definate sings of what is clinically called Sociopathy,Psychopathy, narcissistic personality disorder.

Everyone please google it to understand these personality traits. You will see, that it matches some difficult personalites you already know.

These people should be removed from law enforcement jobs.

They are controlling disordered personalities, with an instant gratification rush from abusing people and getting away with it.

Mainly for reasons that make no sense, and just because they can, uniform or no uniform.

The trooper shows definite symptoms, based on his actions and attitude and is a threat to society.

He must be removed from patrol and the gun and badge must be taken away. Immediately!

Sorry guys but White was clearly in the wrong. When the cop told him to get back away from him so he could speak to the driver, White had no business or legal authority to intervene and insist that the cop talk to him instead of the driver. Secondly, when a cop tells you he will arrest you, or that you are under arrest, you don't get to tell him where and when such an arrest will or will not occur. It happens right here, right now. Finally, the ambulance should have had his lights on if they were carrying a patient. The only time they can run without lights on is if it's a routine transport and the patient is no in need of emergent medical care. So all you experts can chirp all you want about the pt.'s status. If that patient was in any way in need of emergent care the medics would have had their lights on. They didn't and cannot use that as a defense. Without lights on he is just another motorist and deserved to get a ticket for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. White shold have shut his mouth and let the cop do his job.

Also, to the guy who said "certain Pt conditions contraindicate lights and sirens for transport, so that fact that this unit wasn't running code has nothing to do with the Pt's status.", what conditions are you referring to? There aren't any, that's what ones. The flasheing lights are on the OUTside of the vehicle and cannot be seen from inside. And the only condition which might be provoked by flashing lights is epilepsy, which is not a prioroty call unless there is a secondary need for emergent transport. If you're not a medic, shut your hole. You know nothing.

if he was so urgent with lights and siren why did he come back to the ems unit .. hes just an idiot with a bd day every one has a bad day . ... the way i see it ems unit should atleast have slown down to let him pass he did have his lights and siren the patient wasnt that critical maybe cause if she was i wouldnt pull over ne ways and kept going till the hospital .the patrl unit should have waited untill they got to the hospital and tlked to them about it not tell them ur going to jail for making hand gestures to a police officer. who does he think he is ... ..

My 88 year-old grandfather was assaulted by a retired cop with anger issues. My friend was gang-raped by cops when she was a teen-ager. I and my friends were regularly harassed when we were growing up by overly excited cops. You can see it in their eyes, the same wild eyes you see on someone who is looking for a fight, and they would provoke us by slapping and prodding us and getting in our faces saying "come on!!!" They were looking for anything they could call "resistance" so they'd have an excuse to jump on us. And we're white. Black members of my community get it much worse, and their guilt is just assumed. It's time to stop pretending that the police force doesn't attract and subsequently arm bullies and personality disorders, and it's time to acknowledge the sympathetic camaraderie among these bullies. If police departments don't want The People to see cops as the ENEMY, they need to do a better job at keeping these monsters away from the guns, badges, and authority. Seeing things like this makes me want to defend myself and my family FROM the police, at any cost.

Ah, the magic of equivocation. "Mistakes" were made "on both sides."
Sorry, no. This is not a situation in which "both parties" are responsible. Beware such slippery "logic" of equivocation. Perpetrators of genocide use this line to cover their crimes. "It's not genocide, it's a civil war (it just so happens that we have all the guns), and atrocities are happening ON BOTH SIDES! So, magically, NOBODY's to blame! (except US!)"
Some people are determined to see only what they want to see, even when it's all caught on camera. This is a clear case of a cop who is blind-raging drunk with his own authority.
Why do you think he keeps snapping "you're going to jail!" Is that procedure? No, he just gets off on saying it to people. It's the same thrill rapists get from describing to their victims what they're going to do to them. It's all about power. The god-like status of cops has persisted for decades in this country, at least in the South, and only a fundamental change will rid us of it.

this is democracy. 51% of the people take away the rights of 49% of the people

2 wolves and 1 sheep voting on lunch

Love all the bigots commenting on how the upitty negro had to be shown where he stood, or put in his place. Of course they'd never up and claim any such, being absolute cowards; but they think the code words and weasel words some how beguile we un-initiated as to their true intent. The white cop will get off, for the embarrassment of being caught on tape he'll loose a little pay then be patted on the back for the great example he's provided.

Well i dont know about the way they do things oklahoma as far as transporting a p't but in north carolina if it is not a life or death matter then no lights are needed once they have the p't on the truck. as far as responding to the matter before they load the p't they have to run the lights because they dont know how urgent the matter really is. now as for the trooper he was in the wrong as he had he wife in the car and responding to a call that is a
no-no and trying to arrest a driver while transporting a p't that is just IGNORANCE. and as for the lady in the back SHE SHOULD HAVE THE IDIOT OHP'S BADGE FOR THAT and not only should she take his badge but file charges and get a settelment herself. and that sorry OHP should never be allowed to work a public service job again.
And didnt he say he was on a call to assist a county? then why in the heck was he chasing the ambulance?
JUST ANOTHER CASE OF A DWEEB THAT WAS KICKED AROUND IN SCHOOL AND NOW HE HAS A "I AM GOD COMPLEX"..
And as for the so called buddy that said he served with him in the military do you really think that just because you said "he is not like that as a person"and "you should get to know him before you judge him" is going to make it ok to act like that?
As far as you saying that you are NO BETTER THAN HIM!
BECAUSE ALL IDIOT'S RUN IN PACKS

(and im not scared to give my name it is not and it isnt ANONYMOUS)

As the paramedic he was in charge of the whole ambulance... He was the one the cop should have asked for in the beginning, and mr. white was in the right to ask the cop to talk to him after they got the patient to the hospital... she could have died there and then, though thankfully she didnt... when will cops ever learn?

Sad, but not surprising. "Super Troopers" are nothing more than over glorified tax collectors.

They fall into one of 2 categories:
a) want to be a Marine
b) used to be a Marine

The part where Super Trooper opens the ambulance door and tells the lady they'll get her to the hospital shortly actually made me laugh. Uh, genius, if you would have just followed the bus to the hospital you could have had your power trip there.

I surely hope trooper a** clown never needs help from the EMT.

I have been a Paramedic in Indiana for 27 years. I worked 11 years for the busiest 911 provider in Indianapolis, worked for a rural 911 provider, private service, education and administration. There were mistakes made on both sides but, the trooper should have never pulled over the ambulance. Nobody has commented on exactly how long it took the ambulance to pull over. The dash camera clock ticked off 4 seconds. This officer has a huge problem, be it ego/anger issues, trying to fluff his peacock feathers for the woman riding with him, psych issues (be they tied to his military deployment or not), or he is just a huge tool. This is a prime example of cause/effect which digressed horibly. I am going to try and research this some more as I just now stumbled onto this story. He should not have been allowed back on the street with his badge and gun until he had a full psychological workup. He is a ticking timebomb. I hope Mr. White wins his lawsuit, but I doubt he will.
