MD State Police start to resume flights: Spokesman Greg Shipley announced Tuesday night that Trooper 1 is the first to resume flying. Trooper 1 is based at Martin State Airport in Baltimore County.

Trooper 1 became available after making a test flight at 6:25 PM on Tuesday. Shipley said the other helicopters will resume service after ground and in-flight checks of the glide scope equipment on each helicopter have been completed.

One firehouse didn't wait to be called about missing helicopter: While there appears to be a long delay in Maryland State Police requesting help for its missing chopper, 9NEWS NOW reporter Gary Reals caught up with one volunteer chief who says he didn't wait to be called. Click here.
