Firefigher/author turned fireworks launching pad speaks about Kentland videos
If you are local, watch 9NEWS NOW at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM for our interview with Firefighter Jerry Engle, the author of the book about Kentland called Probie Days. Engle, now a member of Bladensburg VFD, was seen in the videos having his bare backside used as a launching pad for fireworks.
Engle says he expects that he and others will be disciplined for their roles in the videos by Prince George's County Fire/EMS Chief Lawrence Sedgwick.

If his lips are moving he's lying, just like his book of lies... If Chief Scumwick gave him a job he could pay back everyone he moched money from over the past 20 years, and pay child support "Dead Beat Dad". If he had a job it would only last about 2 month's, which would be a record.... The fire station is a shelter for him. The homeless "Mayor" ????????

What a loser. He wouldn't last 1 day in a career department. I am sure everybody will defend him and talk about what a super firefighter and driver he is and should have a statue erected in the town square in his honor.

He is a compulsive liar. For example, he was not a member of the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. That would mean he joined there sometime around 1976. He says that he is 45 years old now. This would make him 16 when he joined. I think not. Sounds good for his fictitious book, but far from the truth.
I was a member of the West Lanham Hills VFD from 1971 to the present. I can remember Jerry when he was first seen around Kentland approx. the mid and late 80's or so. Again, like someone else posted "If this guys lips are moving he's lying".
This is just another book selling gimmick. Hell I'm sure he is the one that released the current video in question. C'mon Jerry, all of us that know you...... know you. Had to pay for that food somehow. No job sucks.

Everyone that honestly knows this individual knows he is full of sh*t. He puts on a good front and could talk anyone into anything. How about the family he destroyed in #(*^$#@$$ and the drugs... That would be a story. Oh has anyone looked into his criminal record and numerous addresses he carries. You can run but you can't hide. How about a little research Stater and the rest of the news agencies on this person. He's as crooked as a politician. This should help promote his book of lies. 30 years and the lies continue.......

Just another fine representation of the PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE/EMS....They will take arsonists, criminals, and now circus acts. This is a d_ _ _n disgrace. What next with guys?
