Did DC medics take pictures of patient with her own cell phone?

STATter 911 has learned two paramedics with the DC Fire & EMS Department have been taken off the street while some unusual allegations are being investigated. According to sources familiar with the case, the family of a woman being treated by the unidentified medics has filed a complaint with the department after finding pictures of the woman on her own cell phone. The claim by the family is that the cell phone pictures were taken by one of the medics while he was treating the woman.

According to sources the medics were dealing with a patient who had an "altered mental status" and the pictures possibly showed the state the woman was in. The cell phone and the pictures were left with the patient.

Sources familiar with the case say the story from one of the medics is that he only used the woman's phone at her request to make a call to her family. The medic claims he then gave the phone back to the woman and did not take any pictures. Sources point out its possible the pictures were taken by someone else after the patient was left at a local hospital.

DC Fire & EMS Department spokesman Alan Etter confirms two paramedics are now in a non-public-contact status while the allegations are investigated.

Comments:
it also seems possible that the photo was taken accidentally, depending on the phone--on my phone if you're not familiar with it, you could easily do so.

I have lost count of the times my phone has taken pics of the inside of my pocket, while I am moving around.

someone looking for an easy buck from an easy target

this person must be out her mind to think that a paramedic of good standing on the job would waste his or her time to take pictures of her . this person is wasting the medias time as well as putting these medics careers on the line just for a buck at the medics expense..........
