Your Dog Allowed Here: ummm... just not the big and fat ones

If this a sign of the time I hope doesn't take off! This pic was apparently taken outside a business in the district. Have you seen anymore? I have to admit for pet owners like me who have a whole lotta dog... this is disheartening. I once tried to sneak Atticus
into a coffee shop under my arm... he was pushin 70 L-Bs and the barista was not overcome by by his cuteness like I had hoped. In a frenzy she fired back with some OSHA rule, asked us to leave and sent me and the canine marching minus coffee cup in hand. Okay... so maybe I shouldn't have tried to get away with it ... but on the same note I don't think petit pups should have the advantage... should have the access. Call me bias but I just wish businesses could embrace everyone..you know an ALL DOGS or NO DOGS policy kinda thing. Stop the canine discrimination! It's so unfair that big dogs like Atticus are ousted for their inability to squeeze into a tu-tu. Okay... I realize stores are privately owned- it's their decision...but what kind of message is this sending to our pet population? Lose weight... bind your paws... skip breakfast...lay off the rawhide. This is America people... we like everything big! Tell me the last time you walked into anywhere and portions of anything mattered. I mean have you seen Wendy's new BACONATOR? We always want more.... and on this subject I feel MORE DOG should be something to celebrate not isolate. What's next: all access for all things little small cats, hamsters... possums?

My ranting on rudeness brings to mind another topic? I love to run outside and I am constantly disgusted with the amount of dog waste I have to dodge. I get so irritated with those who refuse to undo what their dogs do. Yeah I know it is an uncomfortable 30 seconds standing there as your dog does his deed... but you look even worse when you just walk away from it. I always find myself in an internal fit of rage... but just can't bring myself to call them out in public.

Sing it sister! The thing that drives ME CRAZY is when a smoker thinks the world is their ash tray! At the traffic light, they merely flick their cigarette out the window - - Bah Bye. I want to get out of the car, pick it up and fling it right back in their car!!! -- KNOCK IT OFF!
Venting...ahhhhhh...that felt better. (I see the pictures are working again???)

Ok! My turn to vent! What I cannot stand is how people do not follow the leash law. They are too lazy in the morning or night to take the time to go out with their dogs. They just let their dogs roam in other people's yard and do their business. I mean, are these people using the "If I don't see it, it never happened" rule? Hey you! Neighbor! With the stray dog! Yeah You! Get up, put a leash on them and keep their litte "gifts" away from me. Whoa! I sound bitter! Maybe its because of the fact that Monday Morning my dog got attacked by another dog whose owner chose to be a "free thinker" with the whole leash law! I too like to run outside. When I am not dodging the crazy cars in my neighborhood that don't do the speed limit, I am also dodging poop, and now dog attacks! As an onwer of a half lab/half pit, I am with you on the whole "no big dogs allowed." In the words of Bob Marley...."ONE LOVE!"

Anonymous! This kills me too- I spent half an hour last friday and was late to a lunch appt because of a stray beagle puppy on the loose.I tried to retrieve him by car going to three neighborhoods and watched him dodge 4 lanes of traffic across a busy parkway. The baby had a collar on and looked so young and curious and obviously stimulated by his new surroundings. I never was able to get him..and it break my heart to know because of someone's irresponsibility something bad may have happened.
