Wednesday Morning 5/14
Well, we should get one more day of nice weather in Today before a wet pattern sets up again for the end of the week. The clouds will start to roll in at the end of the day as a weak cold front approaches from the West. The showers that are in the Ohio Valley might hold together as they cross the mountains Tonight...they will weaken though. The cold front will move through here in the morning on Thursday and stall across Northern VA. With this front hanging around, scattered showers are likely on Thursday. A better chance for rain will move in on Friday. An area of Low pressure will ride along this stalled front and enhance the precipitation. We will not see heavy rain, but flood guidance suggests that we will only need about a half an inch of rain to cause some minor flooding. The ground is still saturated and the streams and creeks are still high....something to watch at the end of the week. A deep trof will set up shop along the East Coast over the weekend...keeping the weather cool for Saturday & Sunday.
