Thursday Morning 4/3
We have a complicated weather scenario setting up here for the end of the week....let's start with Today. High pressure will be sliding off the coast and some warm air, in the upper levels, will be riding over the top of our chilly air mass at the surface. This will result in an increase in the clouds and some rain by the end of the day. The thermal profile of the atmosphere could support a little sleet this Evening as well. Overrunning rain will continue Overnight as a warm front goes through by early Friday Morning. At the same time, an area of Low pressure will be coming out of Ohio into Southern PA. This means we should get into the warm sector of the storm...Highs will get back into the 60s Friday, but there is still a chance for showers and possibly a t-storm. As the Low moves into the NE, a cold front will stall just South of DC on Saturday. This should keep things unsettled for the start of the weekend as well.
