Quiet Weather...Good & Bad
Sure we've had a great stretch of weather lately. The flowers are blooming, the grass is growing and Spring time in Washigton has been glorious the past few days. But, and you knew a "but" was coming, this can be kind of boring to a meteorologist.
We had a mild winter and we're coming off of a drought in 2007, so for a while, there hasn't been too much to talk about. It's not that I want damaging weather, but a little more excitement would be welcome.
I used to live and work in Oklahoma City, a gold mine for meteorologists and weather buffs, but there, the pendulum is on the other side with active weather and at times exhausting weather patterns.
I won't complain too much though, because nothing endures forever and someday in teh future, I'll be praying for a quiet day.
