Wednesday Morning 3/19
Difficult forecast Today...warm front moving through the Northern Suburbs this morning. We'll see a wide range in temps this Afternoon from the low 60s near the PA line to near 70 in parts of VA South of DC. The warm front will make it into PA as a strong storm system moves into the Great Lakes. This will drag a cold front through here Overnight. Most of our rain will be after 6 PM, and that will include a few strong t-storms. The dynamics are impressive Tonight....there is some directional and speed wind shear as well. So, there could be some strong wind gusts and there is even a slight chance for rotation in these storms. The Storm Prediction Center has us "Outlooked" again for Tonight:
http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/It will turn breezy and much colder on Thursday. On a side note...a lot of the modeling is hinting at a big coastal storm in the Sunday Night - Monday Night time frame next week...we'll talk more about this over the next few days.
