  Wednesday Morning 2/27
We have an interesting set up Today in the atmosphere....the upper level trof axis is still West of here and there has been a little down slope induced sunshine this morning. Why is that interesting? Well, it's very similar to the set up in the summer to produce afternoon t-storms. The atmosphere is very unstable. The sunshine will add fuel to the fire as a few strong vorticity maximums roll through later Today. We should see some convective snow showers pop up that will capable of coating the ground...maybe up to an inch in a few spots. If these convective snow showers develop this afternoon, they would also be capable of pulling down some strong winds...blizzard conditions could be reached for a few moments in these squalls. The core of the cold is over us on Thursday, but it will stay dry. Our next chance for snow will be Friday Night.
