  Saturday Morning 2/23
We'll be watching a few pieces of energy in the upper levels pass through Today. These will be strong enough to trigger scattered rain & snow showers. There could even be a little freezing rain near PA line very early in the day. As the surface low pulls away off the coast, the temps will cool in the upper levels and that should point towards light rain or snow showers instead of freezing rain. Freezing rain is caused by having a warm layer in the atmosphere, between 3000 & 5000 feet, and cold air at the surface. The last of these little short waves will go though early Tonight with a slight chance for some snow flurries. High pressure will be in control to close the weekend on Sunday. There will be another storm going through North Carolina Sunday Afternoon, but all of the precip with that one will miss us to the South.
