  BAFFLED
If the reports are true and Jim Zorn is the next Redskins coach, then I am just baffled. This was Zorn's first job as a coordinator and after 2-weeks, of basically moving his stuff into Redskins Park, Dan Snyder and Vinny Cerrato have seen enough to warrant him head coach status. I bet you Zorn is a great guy with a good football mind but taking this on could be a bit much. Again, I am not sure of the process the Redskins use but it just seems a bit backwards. I will say it again. Zorn was hired as the offensive coordinator 2-weeks ago. What happened that made his stock better than, Fassell, Mariucci, Meeks, Williams, Saunders and the may other candidates interviewed for the job.

The Skins have put Zorn in a bad spot and now he has to try and bail them out. He has to be dynamic and ready for the position. He has to be able to capture the players thoughts and keep them interested. Hopefully, he will have his own ideas because right now, it looks like this idea is all Dan and Vinny. When we get a chance to talk to Jim Zorn, maybe he will change our minds.

Comments:
I kind of expected Snyder would take Zorn... Mainly because the talks with Spagnuolo didn't pan out. So Dan's choices of candidates grew thin.

Williams is now defencive coordinator of the Jaguars, so he's happy.

Combined with salary cap now and disgruntled players (contract negotiation)? Zorn will have his hands full. That and with a capricious owner? Not a very appealing job.

So yeah I just read the news on Google.

I hope it all works out, I'm just afraid we will lose some guys and have to start from scratch. That's really what I expected when all this went down after Williams left, but now its pretty much a given.

The press should like Zorn, I've heard he enjoys the spotlight. I guess we will see...

Either Snyder is throwing Zorn into shark-infested water without proper shark-taming training or Zorn will be to Snyder what Aaron was to Moses. No, I'm not trying to put Snyder on a pedestal (even though I'm sure he'd ove the analogy), but there has to me some sort of unseen method to the madness. If you figure it out, Mr. Reid, please fill me in. I'm tired of scratching my head.
