  Can't lose
This is very plain and simple. If the Redskins lose this game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, this would be a catastrophic loss. They have everything going for them. The Cowboys don't need this game and they will probably rest most of their starters but anything can happen. What if, Todd Collins picks Sunday, to have that bad game. He's been able to manage the Redskins to victory but a bad game could be looming. 3 interceptions, 2 of them returned to the house and then all of a sudden, the Redskins are playing up hill and Dallas is lowering the boom. The Cowboys would like nothing better than to put an end to Washington's playoff hopes. I think if the shoe was on the other foot, I would want the Redskins to make sure Dallas watched the postseason from a comfy couch.

So how do we go about curing my anxiety? Well first and foremost, blitz early and often and the Cowboys will be forced to take out their starters. That idea has me feeling pretty good already. Also, throw in a couple of late hits. Not the 25 thousand dollar variety but the 75 hundred dollar variety. Just to send the message that, we mean business and maybe you did not sign the permission slip for this game. Plus, if Terrell Owens is standing on the sidelines, wish him happy holidays and clip him. Take him out. I don't like T.O.. I think I am in the majority on that one. The Redskins need to win and make a statement because they will probably have to see the Cowboys again, if they go further. Take care of business on Sunday because losing this game will force us to watch Redskin fans and bridges.

  Bobby is a Loser
Back in the day, Paula Abdul had a song called "Cold Hearted Snake". I think that is the very song, they should play every time Bobby Petrino opens his mouth. Imagine telling all the Falcon players that we are in this together. We will fight through, the Michael Vick mess and come out on the other side winners. Bobby Petrino sold the Falcons, their fans, management and his own staff, a heap of warm garbage and now he's left them, to go to Arkansas and yell "whooo, pig sooie".

He is a piece of garbage. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, had to inform Falcons owner Arthur Blank, that Petrino was interviewing for the job. When Petrino was approached, he denied it and said "I will be the head coach here in Atlanta." Less than 24 hours later, he was a Razorback. He left behind a lazy note and a locker room full of angry players.

Petrino will do this again. Somebody has to put, in his contract a term of stay. He likes to feel like the pretty girl at the party. He doesn't realize nobody wants to wrap their arms around a liar. He lied when he was at Jacksonville and he did the same at Louisville and Atlanta. I hope he spends the rest of his career at Arkansas because staying in one place and being responsible to other people would just kill him.

  Just what doctor Al ordered
Jason Campbell has held his own at quarterback this season but he is not Al Saunders' first choice. Al's choice will get a chance to show his stuff on Sunday against the Giants. So what's at stake? The Redskins need a win to continue the playoff push but more importantly, Al's reputation is on the line.

We have all heard about that 750 page play book and we have also been told, that Todd Collins is the master of that play book. He was brought here to show all the other quarterbacks the system. We got a glimpse of it against the Bears and by the way Todd looked great but now he has to keep the pedal on the floor for a full game. You can bet the house that Al has coached up HIS quarterback, to make a statement. Saunders wanted Todd to be the man all along and if TC has a great game, the "I told you so's" will follow.

Picture it. All the coaches are watching film on Monday, a day after beating the Giants. Al has his chest pumped out because HIS quarterback was flawless running HIS system. He'll drop hints, that maybe we should have made a change earlier, instead of waiting for an injury. Then he'll sigh and say "I don't wanna say I told you so, but I did". Right then, Joe Gibbs will haul off and say something out of character and Al will just say " I'm just saying".

I am sure, nothing like that will happen but after all the scrutiny Saunders has taken in his time here, you have to feel that a win, with HISquarterback on Sunday, would be sweet vindication.

THOUGHTS:

ON THE MITCHELL REPORT:
I knew guys juiced and I knew it was all over baseball, but the report did not give any solutions. It listed names and situations. It was a great read but what now. Is that it. If their are no positive drug tests, then all of information involved in the report is hearsay. I want guys to sue, so they can clear their names but at the same time, I want it to end because I just don't think anybody cares. Also, this was another instance where Barry Bonds looked good. Half the guys on the list were pitchers. They have always talked about keeping the game on an even level. Start drug testing and then this jaded report, will have some substance.

  JUST A WASTE
I don't want to hear the question, why was Sean Taylor in Miami? He wasn't in the club, he wasn't hanging out in the streets, he was at home.. sleeping. It was late at night and he was with his family. You can't fault anybody for being in their own home.

Also, I am a little bit upset at some of the writers who said, they knew something like this would happen because they knew guys like Taylor. This is tragic, but the one thing that has been popping up with those working the story is, no one knew him. Sean didn't talk to many people and he surely didn't make many media members his friends.

Sean's teammates were the one's who knew him best and that is something that can't be argued. They call him the genuine article. He loved football and he loved his family. Sean loved to practice and play and afterwards, he loved to come home and be around his daughter and his girlfriend. His teammates have told us that and they knew him.

The one thing I have learned when you cover a story like this, is to just wait and see. Everybody, in the first 24 hours, comes out with their own theories why. No one let's the stories play out anymore.

We will all miss Sean Taylor because he was the enforcer. Some teammates called him their little brother and others said, he watched their back. They all said he was the best player on the team. Sean had the potential to be a hall of famer, he was that good. A stupid sitaution cut him down before his prime. We will never get a chance to see what could have been. All we do know is that Sean played his postion of safety, better than anybody in the league. Maybe, if he was allowed to stick around, we would have also gotten a chance to know him....
