  Just what doctor Al ordered
Jason Campbell has held his own at quarterback this season but he is not Al Saunders' first choice. Al's choice will get a chance to show his stuff on Sunday against the Giants. So what's at stake? The Redskins need a win to continue the playoff push but more importantly, Al's reputation is on the line.

We have all heard about that 750 page play book and we have also been told, that Todd Collins is the master of that play book. He was brought here to show all the other quarterbacks the system. We got a glimpse of it against the Bears and by the way Todd looked great but now he has to keep the pedal on the floor for a full game. You can bet the house that Al has coached up HIS quarterback, to make a statement. Saunders wanted Todd to be the man all along and if TC has a great game, the "I told you so's" will follow.

Picture it. All the coaches are watching film on Monday, a day after beating the Giants. Al has his chest pumped out because HIS quarterback was flawless running HIS system. He'll drop hints, that maybe we should have made a change earlier, instead of waiting for an injury. Then he'll sigh and say "I don't wanna say I told you so, but I did". Right then, Joe Gibbs will haul off and say something out of character and Al will just say " I'm just saying".

I am sure, nothing like that will happen but after all the scrutiny Saunders has taken in his time here, you have to feel that a win, with HISquarterback on Sunday, would be sweet vindication.

THOUGHTS:

ON THE MITCHELL REPORT:
I knew guys juiced and I knew it was all over baseball, but the report did not give any solutions. It listed names and situations. It was a great read but what now. Is that it. If their are no positive drug tests, then all of information involved in the report is hearsay. I want guys to sue, so they can clear their names but at the same time, I want it to end because I just don't think anybody cares. Also, this was another instance where Barry Bonds looked good. Half the guys on the list were pitchers. They have always talked about keeping the game on an even level. Start drug testing and then this jaded report, will have some substance.
