  It is what it is
I stopped doing mid-season reports a long time ago and right now I am very glad I did. The Redskins are not impressive on offense and I really don't think coach Gibbs is doing a good job. With that said, the team has defense and they are 5 and 3 at the midway point.... So I better stop whining and realize, this is how they are going to be.

I wish they were better though. I wish they didn't struggle against the Jets and I wish they would open the books and let Jason Campbell throw the ball a little bit more. I hated seeing Kellen Clemmens pass New York into contention against the burgundy and gold and then watch Jason Campbell hand the ball off. The Skins offense is getting national recognition, for not having a wide receiver with a touchdown. This week, that stat doesn't look like it's going to go away. Santana Moss has a bad heel, he's probably not going to play and Antwaan Randel El is fighting a hamstring. Even though the Eagles are good against the run, expect to see a lot of Portis.

So here's the question: Do we care how the Redskins win these games? They have the winning record and they are in play-off contention but no one is happy with the action on the field. I think as fans, and this is tough for me, I think we have to deal with it, until they have a losing record. The Skins are playing lousy and if when you're watching, you feel sick to your stomach. The play calls are boring. You might as well just watch the defense because at least they are flying around and hitting everybody. The offense is making us ill but they are winning. The offense has no imagination, but they are winning. So I am going to deal with it, because the Skins are winning but once they dip below 500, the burgundy and gold are on notice.

THOUGHTS

On The Washington Wizards: Why are the Wiz-Kids getting beaten like a pinata' all of sudden? They are terrible and I know it's early but to not have a win, 5 games in, is very sorry. They have Arenas, Butler and Jamison and you can not tell me that the 5 teams, they have lost to, have better players than that. Eddie Jordan has been preaching defense for years and now he may need to preach offense to save his job. Eddie Jordan, you are on the clock.

On Alex Rodriguez:
Why is he such an idiot? 350 million dollars just to talk to him. I'm sorry, I didn't know he was going to get up on stage and sing "Candy Girl" with his friends. A-rod is great but not that great. Until he says he cured a disease or he's giving part of his cash to petroleum research, he will not be worth 350 million dollars. He hits a baseball and in the play-offs, he doesn't even do that. Good luck to whatever team that pays all the money for Alex.
