Agggghhhhh!!! Ahhhhgggggggggggg!!!!!

Back when I was about 13 years old, if the Redskins lost I'd be in a funk for much of the week.

Frankly, I'd forgotten what it felt like to be so sincerely
and fiercely disapointed after a major 'Skins defeat. Probably because my expectations had been lowered by years of pitifulness and stinkiness. But we were 2 and oh. And like that old girlfriend you know is no good for you, my heart got invested in the team and the new quarterback..and then THEY GO AND LOSE

LIKE THAT!!! AHGGGGGGG!!!

Well , that pretty much sums up my feelings this Sunday evening. Can you believe it?

Its just friggin' football. And now I'm in a really bad mood. Redskins. Goshdarnit.

I started out a colts fan When it was "in the pocket" Unitas, and Matte, but had to love Green bay as well. (Lived in Hagerstown at the time)

We moved here and well, I'm loyal to the "home team". I'm not like one of those Dallas fans (That never set foot in the State of Texas), I root for my team because I live there.

Sorry this is getting long, but I think you are used to me by now.

Anyways I had the Gorey years and the Glory years. My Dad even got tickets through a friend, so I got to go see them play fairly often. I was (and am) a Fan.

After Joe retired, it fell to pieces, and when Joe returned I started to get that old feeling back only to have it handed back like a dirty dish that was left over from the last season, and again the next year.

But now? No... I have faith.
A division loss is hard to accept. Especially when we go out of our way to lose it. (darn!) But not yet, I'm not quitting yet.

Joe is there, can he or does he have the love and respect of the team? Will they go the extra mile, suck it up and play like winners. Or do they run out of gas like a fat and bloated hummer, all show and no go.

9/24/07 better be a wake up call.
They have two weeks to figure it out. Are they here to play or what?

Its not Joes fault, he's not dropping passes or tripping over his own guy. Get it together team!

Yeah its monday, and it would be a lot easier to get up and go on a win. But heh... this is nothing new, I'm a Skins Fan.

Had to leave another about the game Sunday.
I made it to work... took me a minute to realise as I walked past my associates that I wasn't saying hi... good morning, wassup? (I was in a funk)

This isn't about that though.

Its about a Lady from Pakistan, with a son that is obsessed with the Redskins. As she puts it, he says "they are my life!"

Well it's all kind of funny, we laugh and talk about how upset he gets when they lose. Still the thought came to my mind... "what if" this was really upsetting him, I mean deeply.

Well I expressed that, and she agreed that it may not be a good thing. So that part is in her hands. Still it makes me wonder how serious people can be over a game.

Derek, I think you may be able to understand this when I say. "Life's too short", its a game and tomorrow is just another day.

Damnit though... LOL
