Scott, I look forward to hearing the directors track when viewing the newscast. What a creative idea for those in our profession. It also provides insight to folks outside of TV to witness the important leadership role a Director has in bringing it all together in a stress filled home away from home - the control room. You might also consider leaving a track that describes everything you do outside the control room up until the broadcast to assure success.

Hi Scott,
My first visit to your blog - what a great way to share the internal workings of the newscasts with the viewers! It's interesting to see on the WUSA site what is considered "Local News" in DC versus other markets. I also appreciated how you shared your personal connection to the recent news helicopter crashes. It certainly can be a tough business to be a part of. I remember Rob from Jacksonville but missed that particular story.
