More Speeding Traps for DC Streets

You might want to begin to slow down on River Road in DC. Chief Cathy Lanier has okayed the deployment of Mobile Radar Units in Northwest

The location is the 4400 and 4500 blocks of River Road, beginning Wednesday, August 1, 2007.

Mobile Radar units are deployed throughout the city as a force multiplier to allow MPD to monitor and enforce traffic safety compliance.

They also bring in a lot of money, we're talking millions in fines for exceeding the speed limits.
