The Personal Computer, MTV and Andrea Roane

What do these three have in common? We are all celebrating our 25th
anniversary this year.

I have been so overwhelmed with emails, cards and letters from viewers
that I am using my first blog entry to say thank you very much. I
appreciate all who have taken the time to write or call and express your
good wishes. I've thoroughly enjoyed covering politics, sports, crime &
justice, education, the arts and women's health issues and meeting so
many of you over the past 25-years. I am deeply grateful to you for
watching any or all of that time.

The years at TV 9 have been interesting, challenging and rewarding. But
it's not over yet! I look forward to our spending many more mornings
together.

Ms. Roane, I watch you every morning as I prepare for work. Your 25 years on CBS matches the same 25 that I moved to DC. However, you've aged more gracefully!

One part of the show this summer that has really captured my attention is when you cover local politicians who are running for everything you can imagine.

I keep looking for coverge on the Maryland Green Party candidates, but none has appeared. I can tell you, the growth of the Green Party in MD is getting scary to both Dems. and Republicans. Please provide some Green coverage! In the last two weeks, the Wash. Post, The Washington Times, Baltimore Sun, and two local Gazette papers covered Kevin Zeese, who is running for Senator in MD on the Green ticket, but is also endorsd by the Populists and the Libertarians! How interesting is that??!! Laura Adkins, 301-890-2830.

Keep up the good work. You have been as much a part of my morning as my cup of coffee. My husband gets up before I do and likes to watch old movies, but when he hears my alarm go off at 5 am he automatically clicks over to channel 9.

Dear Andrea--Have been watching your for 23 of the 25 years you have graced the screen at TV9--congratulations on your 25 years. I wish you could meet my wife who is an 11 year breast cancer survivor and also an open heart surgery survivor--after the breast cancer. She is my heroine--has managed to rise to the top of her field at The George Washington University--her innovations have been adopted in about every school in the University.

John Kerry, after Kerry comments about the military concerning if your dumb your go to Iraq. I would like to say, that I feel Kerry should resign or should be removed from office. We (the general public) do not need a senator in office that does not stand in back of the men and women we have in any war.
