Car strikes house in Prince George's County

FAIRMONT HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Prince George's County Department of Fire & Rescue is investigating a vehicle that reportedly went into a house in Prince George's County.

Officer Harry Bond with the Prince George's County Police Department says about 12 p.m., police were called to an accident at a home in the 5900 block of Lee Place in Fairmont Heights, Md.

When officers arrived they found that a two-door vehicle, a Honda Accord, had come in contact with a house.

Bond said there were no injuries to the occupant of the vehicle. People were home at the time and Bond said they were not injured.

The investigation shows that the driver, an adult male, was turning onto Lee Place, lost control of the car, hit a curb and ended up in the house.

The driver is facing charges including negligent driving.
