Car crashes into carpet store in DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- According to D.C. police, a car smashed into the glass of a carpet store Sunday night.

The accident happened at approximately 7 p.m. at the Georgetown Carpet along the 2200 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW.

According to police, a Volvo driven by an elderly woman shattered the glass of the store. She told police that a taxi cut her off and caused her to crash into the store.

There were no injuries in the crash, say police.
