Car crash that killed family, 1 other under investigation

OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police continue to investigate a crash that killed four family members and another woman in Oxon Hill.

Two children and three adults were killed in the accident that occurred at the intersection of Livingston Road and Livingston Terrace on Friday, police said.

Sisters 35-year-old Tameika Curtis and 32-year-old Typhani Wilkerson, and their young cousins 13-year-old Haddah Ba and one-year-old Hassan Boykin of Southeast Washington, D.C. were killed, say family and police. Family members say Curtis was the mother of eight children ranging from infancy to 15 years old. Wilkerson had two small children of her own, family said. The mother of Haddah Ba and Hassan Boykin was the driver of the vehicle. Family members say the five were on the way back home from Home Depot.

A woman in the other vehicle, 21-year-old Dominique Green, was also killed, say police. The other people in her vehicle survived the collision.

Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call police at 301-306-5640 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS.

The family has not yet made funeral arrangements, but has started a page to raise funds for a funeral. The fundraising page can be found here: http://www.gofundme.com/fswcio.
