ANNAPOLIS (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police say a California man has been arrested after getting a Maryland girl to send him sexually explicit videos and photos for two years.
According to police, in March a father learned his 15-year-old daughter had been communicating with a man for some time. He notified police, who through interviews and forensic examinations of electronic devices determined the man had communicated with the teen for two years. Police also say evidence indicated the man knew he was talking to a 13-year-old girl. Police say the suspect solicited the girl to send him sexually explicit videos and photographs, which she did.
Detectives learned the man was from California and that he was planing to fly to Maryland in the beginning of April to meet the girl. According to police, the man had booked a hotel room in the Annapolis area for the purposes of having sexual relations with her, but that the meeting never happened due to the police investigation.
The man was identified as 25-year-old Murray Lee Chesak of Ontario, California. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Chesak with Sexual Solicitation of a minor and he was arrested in California on May 28.
Chesak is incarcerated in the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California, awaiting extradition to Anne Arundel County, Md.
