WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police are investigating a homicide in Northwest, Washington, D.C.
Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 900 block of Sheridan Street, NW at 8:58 p.m. Saturday for the report of gunshots.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police say. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services determined the victim was dead.
Police identified the victim as 31-year-old Demetrius Eccles of Northwest, Washington, D.C.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
