Stephen Beakes Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II narcotic, and possession of a schedule I/II narcotic in Prince William County
WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man called police after suspecting someone had broken into his neighbor's house in Woodbridge. Police say the homeowner was later arrested on drug charges.
Last Friday night at 11:20 p.m. a caller told police there was a ladder resting against the back of his neighbor's house in the 4500 block of Torrence Pl, according to police. When police got to the scene, they say the homeowner had arrived at the home. Police say they then checked the home and found marijuana, suspected cocaine, and prescription medications.
Police tell us that there were no signs of forced entry into the home but they do believe entry was made through a third-story window. A $3,000 watch was reported missing from the scene. They are still investigating the burglary.
Following an investigation, the homeowner, 40-year-old Stephen Arthur Beakes, was arrested on drug charges. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II narcotic, and possession of a schedule I/II narcotic, say police.
Beakes is being held without bond.
