WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police are investigating two sex assaults on Tuesday.
Police say that at about 11 p.m., a woman was walking in the 5100 block of 44th St NW when she was forced into an alley by an unknown suspect, robbed and sexually assaulted.
The suspect is described as a black male, medium to dark complexion, 40-50 years old, 5'4" to 5'-7" in height wearing an olive green coat, officials said.
The other incident, which police do not believe is related, happened on Okie St. NE at 8:30 p.m., officials said.
Police say the victim accepted a ride from an unknown male who drove her to an unknown location, pulled out a knife and demanded that she perform a sexual act.
The victim did not comply and was assaulted. Police say this was not a sexual assault.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s wearing a black NorthFace coat and a knit hat, driving a white four-door sedan, officials said.
