WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- If you are looking to enhance your workout goals, then check out the latest fitness craze. Hi-intensity workouts on stadium turf inside the gym are designed to work your whole body in a very short time.

The UXF Ripped is part of a new trend of training sessions that are designed to give your body a shock. We're told that the turf field is key.  With the kettle bell, ladder, hurdles and cones it just goes on and on.

You alternate between cardio and strength training, and burn between 600 and 1,000 calories.

Washington Sports Clubs fitness instructor Libby Linden Rubin says the high intensity total workout will get your whole body pumping.

"It's the HIIT format. High Intensity Interval Training. So once you do cardio and your pulse goes down, but the oxygen and the blood is through the body, it's now doing strength. And it just alternates," said Rubin.

Monika Samtani experienced switching workouts after 30 seconds of high energy movement. With multiple zones of action, the training affects every part of the body.

Rubin, "So like I said, it's better than the treadmill or the elliptical, because that's the steady state. People wonder why their body's not changing. Well that's why -- they need that high interval go, go, go!"
