BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to a stabbing incident at Montgomery Mall.

It happened in a parking lot after a collision between two vehicles just after 2 p.m., officials said.

David B. Goldberg, 24, has been charged with 'two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of first degree assault, and two counts of second degree assault'.  A female victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and a male victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

According to the investigation, a dispute occurred between the drivers of two vehicles at a stop sign on the roadway that circles the mall.  The suspects vehicle almost struck the victims car. The dispute continued into the mall parking lot near the Sears store. When they were in the parking lot, both of the drivers left their vehicles and Goldberg stabbed the 28-year-old female victim. The suspect then drove away, police said.

Goldberg was arrested shortly after on top of an adjacent mall parking deck. At that time, officials discovered that Goldberg had a 2-year-old daughter in the car as well.

Goldberg is currently being held without bond, police said.
