2-alarm fire at apartment building in Prince George's Co.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Fire Department spokesperson Mark Brady says firefighters responded to a two-alarm apartment building fire in the 6400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in District Heights.

Brady says that three residents retreated to their balconies and were rescued by firefighters.

Initial investigation reveals that the cause of this mornings fire is "Incendiary." This intentionally set fire remains open and under investigation. Anyone with information about this fire is asked to call our ARSON HOTLINE at 301-77-ARSON (27766).

Preliminary fire loss is estimated at $350,000. 18 adults and 2 children will be displaced as a result of the fire, officials said. 

The fire is now out.
