SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA9) -- A suspicious package that suspended some train service has been cleared.
Maryland transportation officials said on Friday afternoon that service on the Brunswick Line was suspended until further noticed due to police activity at Silver Spring.
Montgomery County Police confirmed they were called to assist Metro Transit Police for a suspicious package at the MARC Station in Silver Spring.
Metro officials say the investigation did not impact service. they also said the package was declared safe.
